Compared to its predecessor, the EOS R6 Mark II is expected to bring notable improvements in sensor performance, autofocus capabilities, video recording options, and overall usability. While the original EOS R6 remains a capable camera, the Mark II iteration is likely to offer enhanced features and refinements that make it a compelling choice for photographers and videographers seeking a high-performance mirrorless camera.

In comparison to other mirrorless cameras on the market, such as the Sony Alpha series (e.g., A7R IV, A7S III) or the Nikon Z series (e.g., Z7 II, Z6 II), the Canon EOS R6 Mark II is expected to compete favorably in terms of image quality, autofocus performance, and lens ecosystem. However, individual preferences and specific requirements should dictate the final purchasing decision.

Conclusion

The Canon EOS R6 Mark II promises to be a formidable addition to Canon’s mirrorless lineup, with expected improvements in image quality, autofocus performance, and overall usability. User reviews

A lot of camera. I've been using prosumer cameras for 30 years. I decided it was time to replace my 13-year old Canon 7D, and I chose the Canon R6 Mark II. I'm very happy with it. I was considering buying the R8, but when I held it, I realized it was too small to fit comfortably in my hand. (I'm just an average size guy, with average male hands.) The R6 Mark II is 1/4" taller so it fits my hand better than the R8, plus it has a better viewfinder (especially important for glasses wearers like me), plus it has in-camera image stabilization. To me, those were the features that justified the extra price.Compared to my old Canon 7D, the new R6 Mark II has *much* better focusing, better resolution (more than the extra 6 megapixels would suggest), and shoots in much lower light. With the 7D, ISO 1600 was the highest I could go if I wanted good image quality, but the R6 Mark II can easily go up to ISO 12800. Heck, even ISO 56000 works for casual use.The camera has TONS of customizations. So if you like to tinker and read user manuals, you will be in heaven. One of the cool new features is focus stacking. This lets you take a close-up picture of something and get the whole thing in perfect focus, front to back. The camera takes many individual shots, each at a slightly different focus point, and stitches them together in-camera. It works best with a completely still subject and a tripod, so I won't be using it a lot, but it is cool.I was wondering how much I would like the electronic viewfinder, and it turns out I prefer it over a "real" viewfinder that older DSLR cameras like my 7D have. The biggest benefit is at night because the viewfinder is brighter; this makes the camera easier and more fun to use.
Excellent pro camera. Professional level camera with tons of features and easy to use. Highly recommend.
This is the one for me. I mostly use this for photography, but the videography capabilities this has make me want to take more videos. The image quality is stunning with both the nifty fifty and high quality L glass. I’ve seen a lot of upgrades from the early days of DSLR cameras (my first being a canon 20d many moons ago) but honestly I have difficulty seeing where we will go from here in 20 years that makes meaningful improvements.I’m not a professional, so I’m sure there will be workflow improvements and minor usability/ergonomic enhancements that are well worth it to somehow who shoots all day every day, but I simply can’t see needing to upgrade for a very long time.
Wow. After using this camera for several weeks, I'm in love. Still lots to learn, but picture quality is excellent and the autofocus is the best that I've seen. The features on this camera are amazing. I think this one is a keeper!Moved from a Nikon z6ii to this, the nikon was impressive, but the focus on this one is much faster. Great purchase.
Amazing camera. Coming from Canon 5D MK IV which has served me well for several years. I hadn't been too interested in moving to Canon's mirrorless lineup until recently. I am traveling quite a bit lately and wanted something a little smaller than my 5D MKIV with a grip and large aperture L lenses. After reading the specs and reviews of the R5 and R6 MK II, I was quite interested in both. While the R5 might be the target for serious 5D MKIV owners, personally, I felt the R6 MK II was a better fit for my needs (travel, family pictures, wildlife, etc.). I ordered the R6 MK II with the 24-105/f4L kit which just arrived today. Without reading the manual or changing any settings, I took some test pictures indoors and was instantly blown away by the images this camera produces. Super versatile, intelligent shooting modes, and with image stabilization in both the body and the lens, completely sharp pictures can be taken at very low shutter speeds.Very happy with this purchase - I honestly wasn't sure what to expect, and thought maybe I would miss the higher resolution of the R5, but since this R6 was just refreshed (and it doesn't look like a R5 MK II is going to be here anytime soon), I went with the R6 MK II and couldn't be happier. If you are like me and obsessing over specs between the different mirrorless offerings from Canon, trust the reviews and sample images. This is an amazing camera which will meet the needs of most user profiles. Don't wait, when you see a few trickle in to inventory, get one!
Size and quality. Light weight, works with my ef lenses with the adapter and saves a lot of money
Great camera. I use this every day, great for product photography
This is top level. Great camera! Watch YouTube reviews. You will not be disappointed. Dream focus system. Just amazing sharpness. Body and flip out screen feel a little cheap to me coming from dslr bodies. We will see how it holds up over time. Get it when the price drops.
Viene en su empaque original y totalmente sellada.Vale mucho la pena.La cámara la recomiendo para personas que quieran tomar fotografías más profesionales y sepan que la cámara tiene mucho por configurar.
This camera is perfect. Easy to use, quiet, responsive and the photo quality is next level, detail visible in wildlife photography is crisp and defined. I have used this with multiple lenses and the adapter, the camera was consistent using auto and manual focus modes with a bit of practice.
Well, nothing to say. Excellent camera as expected for landscape, portrait, wildlife and astrophotography. I highly recommend this camera. In order to have the best experience, lens can make a huge difference. So select your lenses wisely.Very high capable camera.
The focus tracking and other features makes this a great camera. Living it!!
